Lawn Care and Snow Removal
A seasonal agreement puts your property on our winter route before the first storm, so you are not calling around at six in the morning looking for a plow.
Seasonal snow contracts are agreements set up before winter that put your property on our route for the season instead of handling each storm as a separate phone call. We walk the property with you ahead of time, agree on what gets cleared and what gets treated, settle where snow is stacked and work out where you sit in the order of the route. From there the work is already planned when weather comes in. Some properties want everything covered, plow, salt and walks together, and others only want the lot pushed. The point of the agreement is that all of that is decided in October rather than argued about in January.
The trouble with calling for a plow storm by storm is that everybody else is calling at the same moment. When six inches land overnight, the trucks are already committed to the properties that arranged it in advance, and the people calling that morning are waiting behind all of them. A seasonal agreement is really a way of buying a place in line. It also makes the winter easier to budget and plan around, since you know what is covered rather than tallying up individual visits. For a business it means you can tell your staff and your customers that the lot is handled and mean it.
Setting one up starts with a walk of the property before the ground is covered, which is why these are best arranged in fall. We look at the surfaces, the slopes, the drainage and the places snow can go, and we talk through what your operation actually needs, including when you open and what has to be clear by then. We need a decision on scope, meaning whether salt and walks are included or just plowing, and a contact we can reach during a storm. If there are tenants, neighboring properties or a shared drive involved, that is worth sorting out now, because shared access is the thing most likely to cause confusion once there is snow on it.
