Lawn Care and Snow Removal in The Plains, OH

The Plains sits just north of Athens, and compared to most of what surrounds it the ground is noticeably flatter, which is where the name comes from. That changes the work in both directions. Flatter lots mean larger open lawns and more of them, with real yards front and back rather than the stepped terraces you get on a hillside in town, so there is simply more grass to keep up with through a southeast Ohio summer. In winter the flat ground is easier to plow but the open exposure means wind moves snow across a driveway and fills it back in after it has been cleared. It is a community of mostly settled residential neighborhoods, so the properties here tend to want steady routine maintenance rather than one off work.

The Plains is close enough to our base in Nelsonville that it fits naturally into the route rather than being a detour, and that is really what determines whether a lawn gets mowed on time week after week. For the winter work the open ground here is worth a conversation, because a driveway that drifts back in is a different problem from one that simply gets snowed on, and it is better to plan for that than to be surprised by it. We are a small outfit run by Alec and Zach Taylor, so the crew on your property is the same crew each time and they learn the place. Call (740) 818-9770 and we will get you on the schedule.
